Big Daddy Information
Jule Marshall, who founded Navigator Yachts in 1988, well known in the marine industry
during the 1970s and 1980s as the owner (and founder) of Californian Yachts, the
well-regarded West Coast builder of trawlers and motor yachts. Marshall sold the
Californian nameplate, along with the molds in tooling, to Carver Yachts in the mid-1980s,
and by 1988 he was back in the yacht-building business with a new start-up called
Navigator Yachts. Starting with a single 33-foot express model, the company rapidly
evolved during the past decade into one of the largest builders of production pilothouse
motor yachts in the business. Key to Navigator's success has been the company's ability
to deliver a well-built product at a very competitive price. Flexible enough to implement
an array of semi-custom features upon customer request,
